Febuary funtimes!!!!

Febuary brought several things our way....

Alexis' 100th day of school project with 100 chocolate cheerios....

Crazy Hair day for Alexis and Ethan....

President's Day....with Abe Lincoln....

Several of my friends and I gave Sunny a shower for her 4th...Charles Dixon Dollar!  I made her a baby quilt- SO fun and cute!!!  I really think it turned out awesome! The food was delicious, we had almost 40 people there and she got lots of great things to help her get prepared for the baby!!!

Christina and her family came down for Ethan's Blue & Gold Banquet for scouts.  We are always thrilled when they come to visit!  Ethan received a trophy for his 3rd place Pinewood Derby racecar as well as several other belt loops and patches for his hard work with scouting!

January happenings.....

Well- let's see here....January seems so long ago...Here is what we were up to!

Hunter became a Sunbeam!!!  He was ready to get out of nursery and start going to class!!!  He was very excited to have Sister Custer for his teachertoo!  He loves her so much and she is wonderful with all the kids...gives them stickers for good behavior...which goes over extremely well! I can't believe how big Hunter is getting.  He's really growing up and is so much fun to be around.  He loves to make others laugh and is countenance shines!  We love you Hunter Kade Jeppson.  He loves to make faces too...just like his older brother did...and still does!!!
Ethan and Alexis getting into some sewing with Alexis' new Christmas sewing machine from G-ma Jeppson.  They enjoy it and are working on a pillow project!
Haley turned 11 and so we were in MD for her special day!  To celebrate- she wanted to go ice skating....and so we were excited to be back on skates!  Haley is such a fun, loving, spirited girl who lights up anyone she's around with her smile and her laughter!  Happy Birthday Haley!  We love you so much and were so glad we could celebrate with you!!!

January 24th brought our first snow 'dusting' if you will call it!  The kids were absolutely excited- no school and so they were out to play in less than 1 inch....but hey- snow is snow, right! They even graciously shoveled the driveway!
Ethan had his Pinewood Derby race Jan. 26th.  He was super proud of his car this year....'the volcano' and he won 3rd place.....WOW Ethan....AWESOME JOB!!!!!

Alexis went to support her brother for awhile and then I headed off with her to celebrate Carter's 7th Birthday....Angry Birds and all....Carter is Alexis' best friend at school.  They are inseperable!  They are best friends and I'm very glad they have each other.  Alyssa is also in their class...she's the one in white!  It's so fun to watch Alexis grow up and interact with her friends.  A great time was had by all...pinata, cake, games, ice cream!!!  Thanks Carter for the invite!

More Christmas!!!

My beautiful neice, Breanna!  She's 12 and such an inspiring young woman!  She reminds me of how I was when I was her age.... she enjoys school and does well, she plays an instrument, she's 'girlie' and she has braces...and she's beautiful! HA! I'm VERY blessed to have her in my life!
Here comes trouble with these two loved ones.  I'm SO glad they have each other!  Hunter talks about Little Dave ALL THE TIME! They are best buddies...and they really are so good....They are boys to the core!!! Hunter looks up to his cousin for just about everything!  These boys are 10 months apart!  I'm SO glad they have each other!
We took the family ice skating while we were in MD!  What a fun, adventurous time! I know everyone enjoyed themselves and didn't fall too much! ;)
My gorgeous sister Christina....she got all the beauty!  My mother-in-law taught me how to make scarves....I made the one Christina is wearing for Christmas!  Christina made the one I am wearing! She's so talented...she learned from a book...I don't know if I could do that!
Hunter tried ice skating....he got around 2...maybe 3 times before calling it quits....maybe next time he'll like it more!!!
Ethan and Alexis of course enjoyed themselves with Haley and Uncle Dave- who both play ice hockey...they are fast and great at ice skating!

Everyone was hungry....so off to Golden Corral for some grub!  Mom and Dad, what a great looking group of kids/grandkids you have!
The next day we took it easy!  Christina had these wonderful coupons for Chuck-E-Cheese in Annapolis...so that sounded fun...off we went!  It was a fun time!! Rides, Pizza....what more could you ask for?!?

We stopped on our way home to have dinner with Uncle Louis and Lauren!  It was wonderful to see them again!  I have such fond memories of my Great Uncle Louis and Aunt Ann- who passed away now at least 10 years ago.  They are influential people in my life.  I am so grateful for their example of perserverance, faith and unconditional love.  Down the road from there home was a set up of the polar express.  It was pretty neat.

Christmas is here!

This year I have been really into sewing/quilting.  My wonderful friend down our road helped me make my first table runner.  I completed it in 6 sessions.  I'm sure she was wondering when we'd ever finish! But- I did it and I caught the sewing fever!  So, this Christmas I decided to make each of the kids their own TV/reading quilt.  I really enjoyed it! ;) Christmastime is my favorite time of the year.  We celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ and get to visit with our family.  Families are so special and I'm blessed to have a family like mine.  Here are a few pics!
